Dip into writing

Onkaparinga Libraries are working with Writers SA to run a Writing and Poetry Competition.

Entries are now open for residents of South Australia only.

You can submit one story or piece of poetry per eligible category based on the theme of community, place and belonging.

It must connect to people or places within the City of Onkaparinga council area.

Entries close on Tuesday, December 9.

Competition Categories include flash fiction and poetry from adults and flash fiction or poetry for youth, aged 12 to 17 years.

More information, entry forms and full terms and conditions can be found on the Writers SA website at writerssa.org.au/opportunities/projects/council-partnerships-events/

Last year’s adult poetry winner, Purli Los from Aldinga Beach encouraged beginners to enter the competition saying “it is such a beautiful opportunity to dip tentative toes into the world of writing.”
