Bees and renovations the topic of Probus conversations

Tuesday, May 6 was a special day for Colin Riley – at the Yankalilla Men’s Probus general meeting, he was presented an award for reaching 90 years young.

New member Michael Coventry was inducted into the club by president Jeff Stringer and members were spellbound by Matt Robertson, who gave an account of his three-week saving history renovation work to a building up north 30 years ago.

Richard Fairweather introduced guest speaker and beekeeper Mark Rose, who informed the group about keeping bees and the natural products that bees produce.

The members enjoyed hearing more from Mark while enjoying lunch at the Yankalilla Hotel.

On May 22, the club looks forward to visiting the Pitchford Produce at Currency Creek, then onto the general store for lunch at Finniss.

For more information, call Bruce Burford on 0412 47 4421.
